View Full Version : Char - WIP New Model!
finally ive done a model thats nearly finished!
Always wanted todo a big guy like this, but they never turned out that good. Hopefully this one did :)
Dunno y i added them chains and thingd, but the kinda idea behind it was that hes been chained like that all his life, carrying them things around is why he has being so huge and muscular and y ne has lost his posture. And it also gives him cool weopans to throw arounds and stuff!
2242 Triangles as it is atm, Im aiming for around 2800-3000 when i finsih the rest of him

Man, i love this one. This character looks great!
The posture looks good and the whole character body looks unique and stylish. I don't have any big crits, the only thing i have to say at the moment is add some detail to the face, and maybe take care of the stretched polygons in the neck. I don't know if they will deform properly. Oh, and add some polygons to the hand to make the fingertips less blocky, it would help shape the fingers a little.
Thats it, great work. :)

I love the direction you are taking the face to, allthough I think the new form you´ve given him looks kinda weird, The legs inkl. waist seem a bit small compared to the rest of the body.
Still it´s a great model
keep it up

OH yeah, I like. :D
I liked that extra belt he had in the previous pictures. He looks very symmetrical now and belt solved that for a bit. And the torso feels a bit to massive compared with his legs.
The character reminds a bit of the character from the new God of War game for PS2... must be the chains. :)
Anyway, very good model... are you gonna texture him?

Great Work man .. How ever i have a problem with the head size.. seems a bit big.. if you shrink it just a bit it will make his bodey look bigger and meaner . like the first few one you had .. thats nice.. i like your torso .. works really well.. keep it up.

Top notch stuff - Great muscle modeling and a good style.
I agree with PRS-phil - the legs seem a little small, and the knee bend is a bit too smooth.
Keep at it though - if you do a good job on the maps, this could look very special

Very nice modell but I'd prefer short hair. As said before the legs seem to be a bit too small.
And I'd tighten the waist a bit to get a better "V" shape.
Keep it up

I couldnt make out wether it was hair or a cloth / hood.
Come to think of it, if it was a battered piece of cloth, it would look pretty cool - question is, how did it get there, and how does it stay on if he cant lift his arms??

Well, to me it looks like hair. The way it is enclosed around the skull.
Personally, i like the proportions in the old body more. They were perfect and now they are..less perfect.:) Something feels off in the eyes, maybe they are a bit to high in the skull or to wide apart, i don't know? Anyway, it still looks good, but it can look a bit better.
I also noticed something small, you migh want to change. The polygons on the ball have sort of round shapes on them, but also square shapes. At the moment, the steel bar that is attacked to the ball is placed on a round part of the polygons of the ball. I think it would be better to align them to a square part of the ball. I hope this makes some sence. If you align to the square part, you can just attach the ball to the bar perfectly with only 4 extra triangles per attachment.
That is all the comment i have, keep working on it and i am sure it will work out great. :)
