Here are 3 MessiahStudio 2.0 Tests I thought some of you may want to see.
The first 2 are a Human leg that I modeled in Lightwave 7.5, Used ZBrush for the Displacement Maps, and Textured and Rendered in MessiahStudio 2.0. They are not finished and probably never will be, they were more of a test to see how the pixelDisplacment works ...well, IT WORKS AMAZING....But you can be the judge of that.

The 3rd animation Is of a little creature who was another test to get a feeling for Messiah's Texturing. I had never textured in anything but lightwave. It was Modeled in LW 7.5, ZBrush Displacement Maps, and textured and animated in MessiahStudio 2.0.
So Here are the links to the 3 animation, along with a few stills to get a feel for the true colors of the renders....enjoy. (All of the movies are divx).

(the one on the LEFT is the original lightwave model [no displacement]).

Nice work there Chris!
I really like the detailing on the leg, and deformation of the knee bend looks great :) . It looks like there's a little bit of surface seams/cracking on the knee bend render, let's hope pmG manage to get this fixed soon.

Thanks for posting

WesComan,

The UV seams are a bit tough to deal with , but from what I have been reading it is a ZBrush issue and not a messiah problem at all. I don't know the specifics and it doesn't matter, They are there. After I did these renders I did notice that adjusting the AA threshhold could almost completely remove them. If I find anymore solutions I will be sure to post them.

Great work, looks very organic and fleshy!

Very convincing anatomically too!

Someone on yahoo pmG asked for a progression of lippy. So I figured I will post it here also.

This is from lightwave to Zbrush to Messiah.....

Metanerd,

How many polys did you progress to, from Lightwave subd's to final rendering in Messiah? its my understanding that you need an INSANE number of polys to use subpixdisplacement in Messiah.

Yeah, that leg looks great. But about the cracks, they're mostly due to ZBrush output. However, we already have a fix and are running tests. We'll let you know when it's ready.

here is a quick little method .
sorry it took so long but both times I typed it here before I lost my connection and ...well it took a while before my anger management classes would let me post again.

here is a .doc file with a very intricate method.

Your welcome guys.

Crossbones-
Maybe I will, maybe I won't....

JK, I'd love to, don't know when though. Plus there are some new ways to get rid of the tears and I will have to show that method. It has a few more steps, but its definately worth it.

btw- I didn't, nor am I taking any credit for solving the problem....I learned it from Taron.
