I did this US soldier in photoshop last week. There is not much concept about it, I just wanted to create a realistic looking US soldier from the seventies. please comment and criticise, thanks

It looks good but i have a few crits, first his right show looks huge at the toe, and his left heel extends too far, also his pants have too strong of a crease going up his right leg and elsewhere

Great painting. My comments are on the gun. The M-16 used in the Vietnam era had a different lower grip (His left hand) then the one you painted. It was more like a stretched out pyramid. The rifle was also pre-ban, meaning it had a muzzle break at the end of the barrel. You may have wanted to do a soldier that was later than the Vietnam era, in which case you can ignore everything I’ve said.
Great work, right up my alley.
Heres a reference pic.
