the tiles on the pool look a lil to small.... maybe 1.5 times bigger.

I like the villa a lot, but the (how do i say it :) ) "stone-edge" around the pool is way to large if you comapare it with the stairs that lead you inside the villa.

Also when you compare the stones underneath the diving board with the chairs, they are way to big.

Maybe its a good idea to scale some things, but its just a suggestion ;).
The overall look is really good so just keep on modeling!

W00t, it looks great :D
But i have some things i think you should change.

You might want to add some small things like plants and some details.
maybe a drink on the table.

and i agree whith the Pool ( or villa ) being the wrong size.
When you would rescale the pool, the i would advice making the Area a tad smaller to, butcause it's pretty big as of now, maybe TO big ?

And The sky is looking real low quality.
Is it a skybox/dome, or is it a HDRI render.
The color of the sky is to dark to.

Thanks for your comments guys I will check the scale of the pool and tiles.. now that I look at it the scale is way off and that is the biggest prob withthe composition at the moment...I plan to do a fly through of the whole house once the modelling is finished but I will post some different camera angles so the house is more dominant in the scene..

My biggest mental block with this scene is where to go with the garden space, does anyone know any good garden designers I could get some inspiration from?:)

Don't know any gardeners personally but would try a search on google might find some good pics there. I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but try running your texture through your diffuse channel to give it some variation. I don't know but I think maybe a wide angle shot (16:9) would be the better choice for this shot. Just my 2 cents but I think it's coming along well makes me want to plan my vaction.:bounce:

I agree with the scaling issues. However, your tiles can be 18", 2', 4' or 5' square relative to anything else. It doesn't matter. You get large scale tiles in those sizes all the time. However, around a swimming pool they won't be polished, so kill the reflection and shine. They WON'T be glossy.

And what is that smoke behind the tree in the center? Very distracting. Someone call the fire department!

The scaling issues could all be fixed by making the pool and/or the diving board and platform smaller. The open areas are too open. You could use a few more tables around. Maybe some lounge chairs.

Good start though.
