View Full Version : "Life in the fast lane" late entry... Olympic Runners
digital-bobert 07-13-2004, 05:44 AM Darn... too late for the Daily Sketch Forum.
Catergory: Life in the fast lane.
These are a couple sneak peeks of the "Sketches" section that I'm making for my website www.artofbob.com (http://www.artofbob.com/)
I'm not taking these sketches any further and consider them finished drawings so I figured I'd put them in the Finished Works section.

Actual drawing is 8 inches x 6 inches? I used a black bic pen. C&C is always welcome and appreciated.

Looks really good! I like your style. Some color would really make these pop!

very dynamic. I like the first 2 better than the diver :) they have more sense of movement while still keeping the original form. The diver is loosing too much volume and not as dynamic.
nice style :D

It would be a HUGE sin not to post this on the daily sketch forum.
So I am posting them.

Hey thanks Roberto! Very nice of you! I saw that you found the third runner I drew... hehehe.
I'll post it here too then... different style but also a runner.
Cheers,
B

Hehe, I was surprised to see the pride of our nation sketched in here! Another Greek underdog winning at a sport he wasn't supposed to. Who could forget that finish! BTW your sketches are looking great. Keep up the great work!

Dennik - Hey thanks Dennik! I'm glad you like them!
Here's another.. this one turned pretty distorted but I like :)
It's inspired by Norway's Gro Espeseth and USA's Mia Hamm in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic soccer semi-finals. Hope you like it
