hey ppl

I will buy i new computer for home, I do 3d animation with max and maya
i need a good graphic card that i can work from home,
now i know about the wildcat, and other Pro cards,
what i am looking for is a nice not to expensive card that will hold my work.

If u got any good Ida I will be happy to know about it,

and also uf the card need special motherboard or CPU let me know as well

I guess that depends on how much money you are willing to spend, so....how much?

Exactly. How much are you willing to spend? Even low end, or midrange 3D isn't cheap when it comes to graphics cards. If 6 - $700 is your spending range first thing that comes to my mind is Nvidia QuadroFX 1100. Maya is a real happy application with good OpenGL performing cards. If you want better there are better cards for more, but particularly for Maya I think we all would suggest Nvidia QuadroFX's. Someone posted this comparison once, and I bookmarked it. It has a 3DSMax Performance chart in there as well as some good reading comparing probably what are the top two (most used) 3D graphics card Vendors.

let me make my self more clear,
i am looking for a good graphics card for 3d, but i need dule head monitor suport, since i do video as well

yes, but you havnt said how much to want to spend,

Go for a quadro fx 4000 or if not rich, one of the new 6800's, most graphics cards now come with dual monitor support so you shouldnt have probs there. If you're on a budget then go for a gainward 6800 as they are nice.

i think i want to spend around 400-600$ USD
