Just put together my system... Maya's attribute section on the screen doesn't seem to refresh after about 1/2 hr of use... if i minimize maya then reopen it...it'll show a part of my windows wallpaper on my desktop, Like theres a whole in the attribute section and u see thru to my desktop. I have the newest drivers installed..just wondering if anybody came across this problem. I worked on a 19" monitor..but it had a bad refresh rate (60) so i switched to my 17" working @ 85 refresh rate. I dont believe its my monitors. Newayz...plz help...

Have you tried trying different display drivers...like seeing the difference between DirectX9 and OpenGL?

Yep exactly the same problem I had.

I'm using a FX 5900 and thought the newest drivers would be the best.

I've found i have to use the 45.56 drivers, they are maya certified and i have absoulty no problems.

the newer drivers seem to have serious refresh problems i couldn't even use the graph editor, and was getting horrible artifacts.

"someone should have a sign telling people to use the 45.56 drivers" if they are having problems, ive just posted 4 post today on this problem with FX and maya refresh rates.

Thanx theLedge!

I couldn't find the 45.56 drivers but i did try using the 52.16 drivers and i can finally use the dopesheet and graph editor...woohoo! One more question...these Nvidia utilities have some settings ..and i noticed that they have ANTIALIASING SETTINGS and ANISTROPHIC SETTINGS you can adjust...just wondering wut they should be set @ for Maya and reg. use.....thanx again theLedge!...saved me alot of time..and possibly some cash..

Glad to be of service.

The drivers are all avalible from the nvidia website in the archive or something?

The antialising settings and anitropic seetings im not to sure what settings to use, but i have mine on 2 times anistropic and 2Q antialising settings.

it dosnt really matter, its just makes the 3d viewports nicer in maya to look at, it dosnt effect your renders.

its funny because they say that antialising is only on the pro cards for maya i think, but my FX seems to work in maya with it on
