The model looks nice and clean. Maybe make the top thing on the turret a different shape. If its just to get into the tank, it might be better to just texture it. If you still want the geometry, why not tape it and make it lower? At the moment, it makes the tank look like a toy tank. :)

About the 8 hours, hehe, well, sometimes it takes long, sometimes it doesn't, I wouldn't worry about it to much.

The lower hull front looks more Ausf A than E to me (A being recessed like that one, later models flat across, E specifically with a reinforcement in front of the driver) , and the turrent reminds me more of Panther than any of the IV (having sharp cut lower front corners). Gun looks ok though.

Keep the cupola, though, wasn't till Panther that it was made flush.

Other than that, sweet little model - now lets see some texturing !

Not a big update but i tried to fix a few things

http://img22.exs.cx/img22/4820/PZIVE3.jpg I still need to fix the hull a lil bit and a few other lil things and it should be good

I'm either going to work on a PIII F or PIV D

...that's two threads I've seen you in, where you've been rude and not in the least constructive or helpful...

Yeah but at least it was funny. (At least the way I read it.)

I'd say make the top thing (hatch or whatever it is) a different shape too. Maybe a trapezoid, and definately don't have it level, have it slanted.

Edit: Maybe something like this: http://members.cox.net/anticsensue/trap.gif

Nonono - that "hatch" was about as vertical as a barrel on top of a tank can be, and one of the easy ways to spot a Pz IV turret, Ausf A though, hrm, Ausf H, apart from the few conversion that sported the Pz V turret - albeit that was more of a project than a production series AFAIK. It had a slit that served as the commanders view of the battle when the tank was locked down. The "barrel" itself was around a foot in height - accurate dimensions you'll have to get yourself (plenty of Pz IV around, even in the states).

Did you know that the Israeli captured several Pz IV's at the Golan Heights in the late 60'es ? That almost rivals the longevity of the kalashnikov rifle, heh

Theres nothing fundamentally WRONG with the model, but at that poly count and for a relatively boxy model like a pz4 Id weight the quality 75% to the texture rather than the model. I mean that its more a case of not doing anything terrible with the model rather than there being a lot of scope to do anything great.

That said you dont seem to have done anything much wrong. maybe the tracks have a bit of a 'sharp' corner at the back top there that wont go away even when seen small? With a great texture this could look great.
