inkrow 07-09-2004, 05:05 PM I am not really a 3D expert (more of a graphic designer) but i love using 3DSM + Vray. These two images are part of a project i am involved with. I realise if that bulb was really on you would not be able to see the center unless it was a really low wattage but i went what looked better.

I like the bottom one... I don't know why :). Maybee you should make it so that the lightbulb is on too.

Yeah i did some renders with the light blub on in a realistic fashion but they just ended up being white on white and not quite so interesting. Asthetics over realism :/

if you make it so the lightbulb is on, i think that'd make for a nice bg.
nice renders....but one question...why does your background plane has so many width segments??

No reason its just the mesh smoothing. Sometimes i make the backplane less perfect and more width segments helps.
