Opening files in older version of Cinema ?

Here is the problem...at work I have C4D 8, at home C4D 6 (for the time being)

I wanted to work on a loft (splines) so I thought I'd bring the source home but what I feared happened, it doesn't open :sad:

Is there any way to get those splines converted ?

save as dxf/3ds/obj.lwo
