View Full Version : Lightwave 7.5c running real slow

I just formatted my hdd and reinstalled Lightwave and all my appropriate drivers (latest vid drivers). But now Lightwave runs really slow and choppy. When I move the perspective viewport my CPU ram usage jumps to 100%...yikes. Before the format I had no trouble with LW. It is running on a p4 1.4ghz 384 ram geforce 2 Ultra vid card. I know it is not a top of the line machine but LW was fine before. Anybody else had this problem or know a remedy?

I don't know what kind of video card you have, but I have to run a few drivers older than what is current to keep the speed in my card (nVidia 5600FX). I use 52.16 and it screams. So far anything newer slows me to a crawl.

so in your case the older drivers work better? I may try that. I mean it was working fine when my cpu was all jumbled with files and stuff but now that it is a fresh it is not working well at all.
