Well, its about time for me to put together my engine, and i need to load the *.3ds format, well not need, but 3ds max 6 is what my friend/artist uses, i know theres a tutorial on i believe it was gametutorials.com or maybe even nehe, but i dont believe thats up to date, and id muc hrather get it straight from the source (discreet) anyoen knwo where i could find information about the format? or if it comes to it i heard that max script may be necessary, where are some tutorials on that? and finnaly (to mods: my other threads havent showed up for me, and then i found this forum so im posting here, if the other ones magically appear, im just letting you know i didnt intend to cross post, and you can delete this post)

Head over to http://sparks.discreet.com/ and do a search, you should be able to find it.

Alternatively, have your artist expot OBJ's from MAX. The format is much easier to use and find info on, as it is ASCII text. There are downfalls to the OBJ, the most obvious being that it doesn't support multiple UV sets.
