Are they going to release it officialy at Mac World or no? :)
Looks pretty good. May need more detail. That's my biggest problem at the moment, putting in mechanical details. Sorry I can't offer more specifics.

I think your geometry detail is good, now you need to add some nice dusty weathered texture maps. The simple design is effective but it looks like it's made of CG plastic.

Looks very good
Only suggestions I have, if your going to animate it, is to either make the wheels bigger or make a more efficient hub for them. The boxed hub (the bracket holding the wheels) would get the rover stuck on rocks and debree very easily because of how low its sitting. Maybe add a camera or an arm so its not only sleek but its function is clearly stated.

The fact that was stated earlier about the wheel attachment is still a problem. Picture a rock roughly the size of the wheel, and that inner wheel attachment point hits that rock. Now you'll see why they designed the actual Mars Rover the way that they did.
Nice renders though, and the design looks nice, other than that flaw.

Nice work :)
The real Mars rovers do have struts that come out of the wheels almost like that. They never try to drive over large rocks unless there is no other option.
I suggest working on the lighting a bit. You would get quite a lot of fill light coming up from the surface so they shadows shouldn't be 100% black.
Also note the wheels pick up a lot of dirt after driving around.
The middle box on the real rovers is surrounded by gold insulation.
You might also want to try a rocker/bogie suspension as opposed to six independent wheels. (the "rocker" connects the front wheel to a "bogie" which in turn connects to the middle and back wheels)

thanks. i did plan on doing something with suspension. that sound like a good idea. the terrain hasn't even been started. well, it's been started and stopped quite a few times, so i gave up until the rover is done.
