Been bouncing this around the WIP Forum for a few weeks now. I have taken on some of the crits. But now im happy with the overall image im putting it to rest and moving on.
Modelled with 3dsMax6 and rendered with Vray. All modelled my me, except I have to admit the phone aint! I pinched it from a cd.

Thanks guys. This is the first image where i have tryed toadd some atmosphere. Im real pleased its acually succeeded. I see too many similar images and just wanted to do something a bit different.

ferncastro: There is no real secret. Vray did most of the hard work with the lighting. I just had to get the materials looking good. There is a reasonable amount of post production work to get the image just how I want it. Im going to try an animation, but I will have to work the model textures up first.

i agree with everyone else, this is an awsome picture. the only thing i could add is to say that your couch looks a little too glossy. like its plastic almost. other than that this picture is top knotch a front page peice all the way.

SUPERB!!! Modelling, texturing, lighting - can't find a flaw. The worn look really gives it a lazy late-afternoon atmosphere. If you can share some of the V-ray settings (I mean the general settings-Hspheres etc... -and polycount) - I would be very grateful. Thanx anyway for sharing this pic with us.

great job, i especially like the photoreal look, and not making the 3d mistakes, by making everything perfect and even.

I like the drape in only on one window, the light on the phone, and railing scroll work shadowed on the floor, and slightly obsuring the picture with a bright outside reflection.

not to mention the texturing, walls, and furniture. cool:)
