Does anyone here got any interesting book tips for XSI, would be nice if it did cover some modelling, texturing, shader and animation techniques.

Are you making a model of a book?
If so, here is a tip: Use the Front/Back switch shader to do the pages in the book. This way you can put different images/text on each side of the pages.

As far as books for XSI I don't know any really good ones that spring to mind. I find these links very helpful though and I actually made my own book with the softimage tutorials from their site.
