CGTalk - How do you move the config files in LW8 on PC?

View Full Version : How do you move the config files in LW8 on PC?

In 6/7 you could create a shortcut and add -cPATH/ to specify a non-default location for LW's config files. I tried this with LW8 and it didn't work. It created new config files and a bunch of procedurals disappeared from my texture menu till I copied the original config files back to the "Document and Settings" folder. I'm sure this optionmust still be there, but I'm not finding anything in the help file.

-c works fine here using LW[8]...
if the dir has some spaces then put the whole path in ""
example: -c"D:\LightWave [8]\Config"

Thanks Exper, turns out I had a \ at the end of the path and that seemed to be my problem.
