ver realistic indeed, but i agree about the fingers needing more detail or just more of a weathered look ya know.

This is lovely!
As to detailing; along the top of the thumb, near the nail-bed, shouldn't there be a bit of translucency, where the candlelight shines through the tissues? Not much, but some.

this is a great piece! Kinda reminded me of LOTR a bit cuz of the ring on the finger. hehe I love the title....makes me wonder last night of what? May be its the end of his only light source, since the candle might burn out. (sooo many possiblities) I agree with the others on the lil details on the hand...which ur working on fixing. May be also add one wax droplet down the candle. Dunno up to u. :)
Great study of light though. :applause:
Cant wait to see more stuff....

if you go to sharpen the outer edges of the hand (the part thats fades to the black), try sharpening it with a bright red colour for the translucency.

Everlost: Okay then :) Gonna post the steps. this way u can c&c on the
procedure I use :)
cat33: Heheh good one cat. the ring does looks like LOTR influence dosent it? :P
And o got it! The last light. The last warmth. The last hope. those were the feelings i wanted to show just with a candle and a hand :)
Peddy: good tip. :) Im still doing the alterations. gonna include your tip :D
hope it looks better.
Ill post the final pic when its done :\ dont have much time on my hands though.
