I've just created a 3D animated logo sequence and am comping it in AE6

I created the comp on a black background and I need it to work on top of vision.

How do I set and output an alpha channel that consists of the black area revealing only the logo layers?

Currently the alpha channel I'm getting is from a travelling matte layer and the logo itself appears semi transparent.

thanks in advance

what file format is your image sequence? sgi, tga, quicktime, etc? If you need the animation to have an alpha you need to specify it in your 3d applications render settings. If you aren't interested in doing a long 3d render again, then you might be able to duplicate the footage in after effects, then using some colour correction on one of the layers, make everything you want to show all white and everything you don't to be black, then use this as a track matte for the other layer.
