Hey guys im new to this forum but check out our newly modeled weapons done by me. let me give you some back ground on the mod.

Promised Land is a total conversion powered by the highly anticipated Half Life 2 Source engine.
Our objective is to accurately depict combat, as it occurs all over Israel between 'terrorist'
groups, and Israel's Defence Forces. We believe it is a untouched topic in the mod world, and
the game industry. We intend to go about this mod with care, and to present it tastefully, and
accuratly. There will be no team biases, everything will be presented 'as is': This is a
learning experiance for the team most of all.
What makes Promised Land unique? Several things.

1) Conflict. This is a conflict many know nothing about, You see it every day, yet few grasp
how, why, and where the real fighting takes place in Israel. Try and picture in your mind how
the fighting occurs there - I bet you cant.

2) Game types. We believe that all too overused are the classic Counter-Strike gametypes. We
also want something different from territory capture maps, a la Day of Defeat, or
Battlefield 1942. By adding innovative game types, such as "Drive in", we think it will
truly set our mod apart from the rest.

3) Realism: to a point. Often toted today is having realism in your games. Realism is
great: to a point. By balancing realism with fun, we hope to pull off a mod that is
both tactically exciting, yet intense enough to make you wonder "what if this happened
in my city", because it happens 'over there' all the time.

hi man nice wepons, but if you are trying for an accurately depict combat, as it occurs all over Israel between 'terrorist'
groups, and Israel's Defence Forces.then you should not model guns and grenades ,but tanks and apache helicopters and all the heavy artillerie for the israel forces and stone to the so called "terrorist",then it will be as realastic as it gets.is that sniper gun the SR_99 in the last pic

sorry i dont know of any good tuts, its basically just work and practice. and for the israeli conflict tanks are used for indimidation(sp) and helicopters are used for high valued targets not just a nest of gun toteing rebels.

no, it's an M-4 with a ACOG 4x scope.

so called "terrorist",
How else do you define people who strap a bomb to thier body and commit suicide in a marketplace with civilians around? Yeah, Israel isn't the most politically correctly acting gov't, but have you ever lived somewhere you're afraid to goto the grocery store because some guy might kill you and 20 others around you?

Anyway, tutorial wise: 3dbuzz has a decent one in thier Unreal Tech VTMs (modeling->weapon)

And a pimp for my friend IchI: http://www.halflife2.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26998

I like the texture on that handgun, it's kind of novel, and has a good feel to it. That extra bright section at the top could use some work methinks, and the trigger looks kind of bland.

Talk is getting political here man. I think technically to be a terrorist you have to have a political agenda, and in that case you might consider yourself more a "freedom fighter" than terrorist, in the end these are very complex issues, which these sorts of terms don't really address well.

The gun models look good but I think a lot of work needs to be done on the texture. The glock does have kind of a grainy finish but it's not that pronounced, you're also missing a lot of classic indentation and text that appears on the glock
