I am new the gaming industry and have a model that I need to include all on one 512 map. It contains 3 different meshes. How would I lay out some uv's so that it will call from a single jpg?

Currently I am unwrapping one of the pieces when this question popped in my mind.

Should I select all three objects then do unwrap? so the modifer is above all three in the stack?

Advice and or links are greatly appreciated..

Bests

Think I might have found the answer:

Found that I should attach everything, lay out UV's then detach objects that will require animation.

or u might try this one out...

do the unwrap for all the 3 parts and apply same texture map to them. that's it :)

Also dont use JPG for game textures, use something like a TGA TIF or BMP.
