what this is mean laid out ..sorry for my english but if you want to know all my uv are done and perfectly and l got a baldness file for my fur on a head of my character and this and if l try to paint the direction thats work but not the lenght........why
select the fur description go to the attribute editor and under details>>Length change the map multiplier, now you can paint length between 0 and the desired length.

This might help:
In your Fur Attribute editor, set the length to roughly the average of how long your want the fur to be.
Then use the Paint Fur Attr. tool to adjust the lengths, whether shorter or longer in certain areas. The Paint tool option box contains the control on how long or short you want to make it. It's under the Stamp values, called Value. It goes from 0 to 1, where 0 makes it bald and 1 makes it long. If you want to go beyond 1, then change the Paint Multiplier in the Value Range panel.
Good luck!
