Real nice textures, but theres something about the figure that looks too 'cg' - he needs bulking up a bit - he looks a bit too straight at the moment. A few more tweaks and it should look great.

textures do look nice, but the upper body is to boxy, it looks like he was squished inside his armor

yea.. dood you have got to change the shape of his arm.. why does it curve like that? I think if his arms had a more realistic shape it would make him look a lot more organic.. great work so far btw.

First map is done, doing the other map now. Re-did the face and I kinda did a "normal" face first before i zombify it :P
Don't know if it's a good idea or not, but any ideas on how to make it more zombie like will be appriciated!

i really like your uvw map, really clean. And your texture is really clean too, maybe a little too clean..i suggest you add some dirt on his cloth and on the gold parts.. maybe you should make a bump map to add realism
good work

the first textured face is the best good job on the other textures too, but seriously.. fix the shape of the arms!

This model has come along very nicely, all throughout though I feel that the chest looks very flat and straight, althought the character is wearing a breastplate his upper torso is still a bit shapeless. I also feel that the tone of the skin looks very dark and grey and constrats badly against the bright red armour. Other than these things, good work on the texturing and other aspects of the model though this should work very nicely inside a game environment.

I thinks it's cool, especially if that is what you where going for, a future tip thoe would be, on the character design, you may want to put more structure too him, Arms and chest, the legs seem fine (due to the textures) but give him the super hero 9 heads method, whether you want him aggressive or laid back, you can express that threw the body shape for character, the textures are very well done, it's better than what I've done (nothing as of yet) but I'm learning, I just got into game design myself, but I have strong Animation and character design skills that help me fly threw it, it's just of matter of mastering modeling, but great job, explore and look at references, there are plenty of samuri games out there and movies to reference from I would check it out and see were you want to go with it, if you goal was to minimize the poly count you've done a hell of a job

Hey VinceB..... this is looking pretty good. Good texturing you got going there. Are you going to dity up the armour a bit? The reason I ask is that there is quite a strong contrast between the flesh and outfit....
Anyway... looks great
As i said on cgchat man NICE model ;) i love it !

very nice work
crit wise - the shoulder pads appear to be floating with no support, and as said the upper chest is tubular, puff it out
also the texture could use dirt, wear, variation, etc... but it is a nicely drawn base
