View Full Version : Concept Art
j0hnb 07-25-2002, 04:30 PM I just wanted to see some other peoples concepts that they haven't gotten around to creating in 3D yet. I don't have a sketch of mine yet but I'll write it out for you. I was reading a book and it described a fireball. The fireball was created from two sides of magic, one light, one dark, (no shit) But it was described as a liguid fireball. I haven't quite firgured out how I am going to model this but that is what I'm workin on. So what about you guys?

Yeah, I have a few ideas that I'd like to eventually translate to 3D. The problem is that I'm not much of a 3D modeller and I absolutely do not know how to texture at all (aside from flat shades and procedural textures). That whole UV mapping thing really gives me a headache.
Anyway ... here's my idea (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14820) for a short that I plan on working on sometime in the near future.

I love all of the sketches you have layed out for your idea.. Mine isn't as big as yours but I figure if I can pull mine off it would be great in tons of different scences.
