create your two cameras. apply, just the normal way, your env sky to one of them. now select both cameras. go into the hypergraph and hit the "Up and Downstream Connections Button". you will see a connection from the imageplane to the camerashape. just drag the imageplane to the other camerashape. it will automaticly do the right connection. now you should have the env sky attached to both because it's goin right through the imageplane.

hey sven,

ok, it created another img plane in the scene whe i render it thru second cam it gives me the same persp as first.:applause:

i'm working on an animation of my tank (10 secs) first ever anim! yeah!

anyhow, here is motion test http://www.nyu.edu/classes/cushny/sdt_portfolios/sj_portf.htm

as you see 2 second front shot will work well with this tutorial, but the second camera shot that comes in the middle has a different persp. so i'm basically trying to create this enviroment, like hills and sky and such.

i guess i can render the motion on a plane first and then render the sky and combine them in after effects?!

any suggestions?

i think you've got me wrong :)

at first i must ask ? you wann have two cameras using the same env sky but just looking from different angeles ? yes !?

ok, here again.

you create two cameras, and apply the whole way for env sky (create the imageplane, switch to texture, apply env sky for the texture) to just one camera. after that take both cameras, go into the hypershade, click the button mentioned above and drag the imageplane onto the shape node of the second camera you've created.

if i'm still wrong (i don't have to drink so much) give a more in depth explain of what you wanna do

you are right: 2 or more cameras attached to the same img plane rendering from different persps (like the moving test)!!!

it worked!:bounce:

what i'm really trying to do, as i mentioned above, is create a background env for the tank. the best way i can think of is use this envSky tut and splap the tank in it. so if you have any idea different ideas hit me with'em!

as always thanks!

yeah i have a different one :)

for a project i was doin a few months ago i've rendered everything without the background (mean sky and fire). after that i've used the tracker in shake to attache images i've had from a sky and fire's etc.

it's actually more work and so on. and you really have to care that you have some tracking points for shake :). but after all i think it was a good idea. because it was a very big project (18min of 3D) it helped me cutting the rendertimes etc.
