View Full Version : Use Background shader problem

Hello,
I'm using the "use background shader" in order to extract
shadows from Maya Hair, but am getting weird results overall.
I assigned the the background shader to the head geometry
and truned primary visibility off for the Hair, as explained in
the manual. There are 2 point lights with dmap shadows enabled.

Anyone know what am I doing wrong?

Turn your reflectivity down to 0 and max reflections to 0 on the useBackground node.

I did that, as well are tried changing all the dmap shadow attributes but it
doesn't seem the help. That sharp white part of the alpha
channel that covers half the face is always there. :sad:
