Hello boys!!!
I need the help of this forum.

Since two years I've got problems with the morpher modifier. I was a 3DSMAX R3 version user, and I had many problems with this tool. Let's see: when I added this modifier to an object, and I tried to set the channels for using in character animation, a BUG appeared!!!! Suddenly, the interface get full of dark lines around the menus, rollouts, tool bars, and so on, and the program crashed!!!
Well, I commented this in many forums, but I didn't have a good answer. So, I think that the version of the modifier for R3 version had a bug. Recently, I upgraded to Max 4.2 and tried again with the morpher modifier. And guess you guys... THE BUG AGAIN!!!!

I don't know what to do about this. In character animation is very important this tool and I really need it.

What do you think is going wrong? What could it be?
Please help me!!!!!!!

Thanks !!!!!

Stop using Win98/ME, and get yourself a proper OS.

That's a known OS-related bug and there's nothing you can do about it other than never touch the morph modifier rollout (which means keying everything in track view).

Could I assign the channels directly from track view??

Nope, you'll just have to save often and restart every time Max crashes and keep doing that until you have captured all your targets. It's a pain, but it's the only way I'm affraid.

Serves you right for trying to run a proffessional 3d app on a crappy OS anyway :)
