View Full Version : FG speckled render - any suggestions?

Hi, I'm trying to get rid of some FG artifacting, but can't seem to figure out how to adjust my numbers to make the black speckles go away. Any insight or suggestions would be most appreciated

my FG is set to automatic currently, but I've tried the 10% min max of .04 .4 based on my house size, and get much heavier noise. I've tried rendering with my FG rays set to 8000 in the render globals, but still getting fairly noticable noise.. this is for an animation, so cranking the FG rays into super high numbers isn't really an option unfortunately.. if that's the only solution, I'll just have to live with a noisy render

Try setting the min radius to .4 and your max radius to about 7-8. Also what sampling settings are you using? I tend to use nothing below gausian and a min of 0 and max of 2 with Jitter turned on settings for production quality rendering.
