Well i'm trying to take a mocap file I acquired and modify it for the use i need it for. And i'm trying to further modify it so it'll loop correctly without looking funky when using the Mixer in CS. Well if the "cannot add keyframes after last footstep" error didn't exist, i'd be a lot happier of a man. Anyway, long story short, I want to edit after that last footstep so, of course, I just added another footstep. However you have to activate that new footstep using keyframes and, in doing so, it overwrites all the old keyframes that I messed with beforehand. Question is, how do I return all the old keyframes I made so I can change the new ones...? If thats too unclear, say so and i'll try an clear that up.

You can bake the footstep animation into freeform animation by doing this:

Select Biped --> Motion Panel --> Biped Rollout --> "Convert..." button --> OK

Once it bakes out the animation to freeform, you're free to do anything you want with your biped... and depending on what you do, you may be able to convert it all back into footstep animation once you're done using that same button.

Hope that helps.

Alright, cool, that worked. Thanks! Now I just have to get my animation to not suck...

ALways get rid of the footsteps ASAP. It's too limiting in so many ways. Freeform is THE way to go.
