View Full Version : Lighting with fog effect

I was playing around with lights in Max and I wanted to try some stuff out so I can learn how to "control" lighting in max for my scenes.... I got the result I wanted execpt one.... why is it that the back wall of the box is lit up if there is only one little opening ??
Hmm... looks wierd to me.
Do you only have ONE light?
And remember to set Ambient Light to zero...!
Try posting a wireframescreenshot or the scene - that would help us finding the error :)

Yup, I only have one free spot light, I will post the wire frame as soon as possible
The best you can do is to zip the scene and upload it to the site...

Is your light set to cast shadows? Is the material on the walls 2 sided?

apparently the area?!light is bigger than the wall with the window. shadows are smaller than the original. as if the light is inverted?! strange. what type of light did you use? are all objects set to cast and receive shadows? which renderer is used? are the normals ok?
