Hullo, Wasn't sure where to post this but here goes.
Heres a WIP film "Shaolin Tennis" (working title) that we have in progress at the moment. It's essentially a film shamelessly following along the same lines of "shaolin soccer" in that the players play the sport with magic like abilities. More info later.
Basic "Plot": In a nut shell, it's set in ancient, mythical china. There is a small village overshadowed by huge mountain, on this mountain sits a magical tennis court and a golden house, It is said that whoever is the reigning champion of the court, receives eternal life and lives happily in the gold house. Challengers who lose face death (not surprising given the nature of the matches).
Now, there are 2 brothers who live in the village, the younger climbes the mountain and challenges the current champion, the evil overlord Wang, when he doesn't return, lee (the older brother) trains up to challenge Wang and avenge his brothers death.
There is a twist at the end but I won't ruin it by saying now. This film is mostly an exercise/experiment in CG effects and how far we can push them with our current resources (not much).
The film will consist of live actors shot on blue/green screens composited into 3D environments. All effects created in post using 3D/2D techniques.
Having just finished shooting, we are now moving into the post production side, so I thought it a good moment to start up a thread of our progress.
Since we have just started, we don't have alot of things to post up except concepts, storyboards, footage etc. but that will change soon. Your feedback during this long project will be greatly appreciated
