they should work fine, I would recommend downloading them. I have been on XP since its release and these work fine no issues here, check you console to see what error messages come up and report them back here.

hmmm did you delete them from the plugin folder first? I would also recommend contacting someone at maxon support. This seems very odd.

Don't go thinkin XP os totally perfect though, I have noticed issues with dumping ram sometimes. I love XP and wil never go back, but I recommend you find a good rem defragment utility, preferablly one that takes up little resources itself. I often use it when I have been doing video rendering, and I always use it right before I do a big render too just to make sure the render has all it needs.
Hmmm... So it really slows it down? Is the time improvement worth the download and hassel of using it before renders?

Kaiskai, can you recommend a good ram cleaner and
maybe post a link as well?!
Thanks in advance.

its ot that it slows down, it just means for really complex rendering and such you may find that there are some things in the RAM that no longer need to be there and are limiting space for other things like dieo or other rendering things it caustics and such, I know I was getting an error on one scene hre with complex highres textures and caustics with quite a few objects and my ram was the issue, I was told to check out the red defragger called free ram XP and after defragging I could render the image without having to reboot and make sure I closed everything before rendering. another thing to do to help handle ram in renders is open up the file for renderinf though the batch renderer, this way the file is never opened into XL itself just for rendering sake, only one copy is opened not two.

I used memturbo way back with 98se, but didn't care for it too much back then, though I didn't really need it. Right now as I mentioned in the last post I am using freeRAM XP, just the lite edition as it does what I need but you can register it for some advanced features of some sort. Here is the link:

Yeah Ive had some rendering probs, I just though it was because I didnt have enough RAM. I guess Ill have to give this a try, thanks Kai
