Weird difference from Max I noticed.

In max the loft and lathe options allow you to generate objects with UV's built in. In XSI you seem to have no option to do this. That true or am I missing some vital button?

Also - how do you guys find the Loft? Using it for the first time makes it come across as hideously clanky compaired to what I'm used to - but I could be missing some wonderful options, methods of using it buried away somewhere...

Or not.

The automatic UV thing is something that I have wanted for some time now. Definitely a nice feature in MAX that makes texturing pipes and such much faster.

You should check out the contour/stretch texturing options in the texture editor. Those make it a lot easier. But still not as easy and hitting the check box to turn it on.

I dont use loft much, but then again, I never liked the MAX version either. At least with v4 you can go straight to polys with out having to convert over all the time.

I wouldnt mind hearing what others have to say about the loft tool in XSI. Seems fine when I need to use it, which isnt all that often.

Sorry I could be more helpful.
