Hey all ,i am new to maya and i would like to know how to create and use maya's morph targets.

Hey all ,i am new to maya and i would like to know how to create and use maya's morph targets.
Well for starters refer to them as Blendshapes, then look up blendshapes in the docs and read about them.

Basically you can assign as many blendshapes toa the effected object as you like. Then need to have the same number of points and then maya creates a panel with sliders to control each blendshapes influence over the target object.

it's really easy!

- create all your targets, select them all with the last one being the object to animate.

from the top menu

deform/ creat e blend shape

then

window/ animation editors / blend shape

and BAM!!! that's it...

slide those puppies around...

of course actually modelling, and animating them is the hard bit...

ps - this is all the manual that comes with your maya license(s)... :)
