View Full Version : Vehicle: Ducati 748
raz98 06-26-2004, 04:30 AM [edit]: I placed in the first post the last rendering, seems to be better than the rest :)

All the objects were modeled with subdivisions except the disk brake where I used booleans.
Might not be 100% as the original since I had no ideea what most of the parts were (especialy the inside mechanics, etc :))
here is the red version

i like ducati bikes and i like this one aswell! i dont have anything to crit about only that i guess it could maybe look a bit more ralisic around the tyre areas. also what did you use to make it.finally i just dont know why there are no more replies, you did a good job on it!

Very good work. I like it much :)
You can find manuals with all the inside parts from ducati bikes on their web site. Not so sure but you can do a search and find out.

whoa this is awesome, plaese post some more renders, like a close-up to the front wheel and some wire, would like to see it...
beatiful piece of work!
Very nice, like all of your work! I like the red one more, but IMHO the tires are a little bit too reflective?

real thanks for the replys :)
thanks tomaa, you answerd the question :)
manditri: I used hdri, but in the yellow one I tried to obtain the "studio soft box" reflections. In the red image the hdri is more visible.
here are 2 non-material renderings

yep this last render has done this model justice, good work:thumbsup:
is the grip on the handle bars that smooth though? i don't know i'm just wondering, coz it looked a little odd to be that smooth, but i'm used to riding dirt bikes not road bikes:shrug:

Yes the handle bar has some bump map but it isn't very visible in the rendering.

thanks Michas and FouLSouL, I only placed the "748 desmoquatrro" decal on the side as the real bike.
very nice raz!
awesome model as usual
almost looks photoreal!!
the only thing that lets it down seems to be the headlights looks a bit funny

Very good. The bike well modeled and well rendered. I like your environment that u sht your bike. The materials on the bike are well done but the tires must be more dull. Now they look like they are wet or are polished with something.
Nicely done man keep tweaking.

That really good. I drive a Z 750 maybe you can make a picture of my bike.
Good work.
Maybe you can transfer this motorbike on the road, into motion.

thank you for your kind replies :)
Yes, the tires were a little to shinny as they were new or "studio like", so I re-rendered the scene:
