View Full Version : Melted lamps and table
SimonReeves 06-25-2004, 08:28 PM I modelled these lamps about a month ago I had ref pics of the original lamp/table, and my client drew some sketches for me to model from.
The work was for www.loopcorp.com (http://www.loopcorp.com/) [they did some more work themselves, a chair and whatnot], and their client was Heals department store, I think its for summer sale, heat/melting/summer, that kinda thing :)

Looks nice!
How did you make it? All poly-moddeling (So first make the lamp, for the second one move some vertexes and add some ect, or is it made with the help of a plugin?

This would fit really well in an artistic piece. One question: the wires are obviously pretty low-poly, so did you use subdivision?

no tutorial tho, I'd have to model it again or something ;)
Very nice.... Looks nice, and the render is very cool.
Given, that the tempature "melting" the objects.....
The lid of the lamp should 'melt' at a faster rate then the metal does.
Agree? I think so.
Good job reguardless!!
you modelled the whole effect ??? damn thats good. how long have you been using 3dmax ??
this is incredible and the website too.

Yeah, these images are awesome! I just spent time this morning going through your portfolio on your site and I'm so inspired! Some of it may be that I've been addicted to Colin McRae 2005 for the past few days, but mostly because your models and renders are simply amazing! Do you poly model all of your cars or do you use box modeling?
really nice ...... really organic melting effect
