We are looking for Level/ Environment Artists and Character Artists. The positions are full time, on site in The Hague -the Netherlands- and come with competitive salary and possible additional benefits (depending on experience).
Level / Environment Artists
Khaeon is looking for 3D artists with meticulous modeling and texturing abilities to do level / environmental art. The successful applicant must show an understanding of color theory, and be able to create balanced & appealing color palettes; understand the aesthetics of environment and function vs. form relationships. Architectural and drafting experience are assets, as are previous game experience and level design.
Requirements: Be able to work with 3dstudio Max and the Unreal 2.x editor to create levels according to strict designs and layouts created by the Game Designers. Be able to texture your own level and props. Plusses: Industry experience. Affinity with fantasy settings and roleplaying games.
Character Artists
Khaeon is looking for 3d artists with very good character modeling and animating skills. The successful applicant must show an understanding of basic and advanced human motion, and be able to create clean & impressive character animations; understand the way animation functions as a communication tool. The applicants must also be able create 3d character meshes to be animated, both High and Low poly, and to have a good grasp of normal map technology. Of course it is vital to have excellent knowledge of human anatomy and to know how to texture character meshes using bit, bump, and normal maps. Sketching and drawing experience are assets, as are previous game experience and level design.
Requirements: Be able to work with 3dstudio Max and the Unreal 2.x editor to create animated characters according to strict designs created by the Concept Artists. Be able to rig, skin, unwrap and texture your own characters. Plusses: Industry experience. Affinity with fantasy settings and roleplaying games.
