Hi folks,

Cinematico, Inc. is currently in need of a very qualified modeler to create a handful of 3D characters.

The specs of the job are thus:

4 "photo real" humanoid characters in T-Pose
Cinematico will provide reference material for all models needed
Clothing and limited "accessories" (belt/holster/some armor)
Ready to rig
Ready for facial animation (morph targets)
Clean UVW coordinates
Final use will be in 3DS Max 6.0, so models will need to be delivered in an appropriate format for import (i.e. you don't have to do the modeling in Max, but we'll need to get them in cleanly when you're done)
It is critical that these models look as real as possible (proportion and detail-wise)
This work will be done on a contractor/freelance basis, with negotiable rate.

This job will start right away, and will be at an "accelerated" pace.

We are willing to work with talented people anywhere, as all material can be transferred via email/FTP.

If you're interested, and feel "up to the task", please send us an email and samples of (or a link to) recent work.

mailto:jobs@cinematico.com (jobs@cinematico.com)

Cheers,

Thanks to everyone who has submitted material!

Gosh, I really had no idea how many extremely talented modelers were out there...

That said, apologies if I haven't gotten around to responding to everyone personally, just got a bit swamped there.

We are reviewing everone's material closely, and will have a final decision made by Friday morning (PST).

Even if you don't "make the cut" this time around, be assured that you will not be forgotten. We are adding everything to our database, and may (hopefully) have need for more of you down the road.

Cheers, and thanks again to all of you!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that the position is now filled.

There were a ton of really excellent submissions, and we really appreciate all of you sending in stuff in.

We're very impressed, and will keep all of that material (samples and resumes) as reference for future projects.

That said, I understand it may be helpful to some to know what the major deciding factor was for this job, especially since so many of you are obviously top-tier talent...

Mainly, it was a presentation of samples that were specific to what we needed in this case (realistically detailed and proportioned human figures), with multiple angles of each model as well as relevant detail shots (hands, face, accessories, etc.).

As I mentioned before, we were a bit surprised at the response, and especially at the level of quality so many of you have achieved.

So... even if you didn't "nail" this one, trust that we recognized your work, and will keep it handy.

Cheers, and big props to you all!
