View Full Version : Forum Fun: A co-op project
OK - first let me apologize for the HUGE image below. I know this really is overwelming on some resolutions, but there is a reason (and it is under 50K).
Now, on with the fun ...
I was drawing this afternoon and I ended up with this girl (see aforementioned HUGE image below) in a wierd pose. She's kinda' jumping, flying or falling ... but the reason for this is really unclear. I figured it would be interesting/fun for you 2D folks to take a crack at finishing this picture, and show what is going on.
Basically, show the environment and/or other characters that help explain the odd pose. Feel free to add, subtract or modify some elements of the character if needed for your final image.
I scanned and compressed the best I could to get a really clear/large image for you to work with. Obviously you'll have to reduce, scale or manipulate the character on your page to suit your needs.
If you want to just color the girl ... that's fine too, but I'm really interested to see what everyone can do with this picture.
Have fun!
P.S. - Please don't add anymore HUGE images to the thread ... one is enough (I'm on dial-up) and I don't want to upset the Admins. Thank you.

That's a good one jeroentje! :bounce:
EDIT - Oh BTW, you could probably clip my digital signature from one of my other posts. This one (http://64.246.30.84/~admin4/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14820) has a few good B&W sketches with the signature clear enough to copy.

It isn't finished yet as I'm having trouble finding a good skin colour.
This is the first time I've attempted colouring an image with a tablet, give me some feedback tell me how to improve :)
Sorry about the size.
Hope it's ok.

I usually start with 25m/25y (in RGB) as a basic skincolor. A darker version from the picker for the shadow and ligter for the lighter parts.
And if you put all your skin in the same different layer, you can use "adjust" -> "selective colors..." in the to chance them a bit afterwards (usually taking some cyan out of the "neutrals").
btw, Kirt, I am waiting ;)

Cheers Jeroentje, I'll start working on it now. The power of tablets for colours and shades is amazing. I'll post updates soon.
Yeah yeah yeah ... it's coming. Just trying to get my BoB done this month so I don't get a reputation as the unfinished challenge entrant. :hmm:

Still here's my little effort, my first finished colouring job with a quick background.

DAMMIT!!!! My tablet is dead!!!
I want to try my hand on this one too, but with the mouse it will be a pain in the ass :(
Aw... gonna try anyway.
TheBaron - Uhm ... I'm sorry, I don't get it? You've made an album cover or something out of it using a stock photo and an unflattering type font. Thanks for entering the forum fun, but I think we like to see you add to the image to show something that the character is reacting to.
Maybe I'm being to harsh (and I apologize if it's coming across that way) ... it is a "forum fun" thread and if you had fun creating this then I suppose that's all that's important.
Too early in the morning .... must get caffine :surprised

Sorry about the background image I was really focusing on the colouring job, as this is the first time I've coloured anything using a tablet. The background was just to give the image slight depth it was a rush job.
So crits on the colouring not the background, I'll make something better when I think of an idea. It's a great image you've provided I enjoyed colouring it :)
Here's a new image with a slightly more suitable background, the idea was her dancing at a club.
