CGTalk - USB vs PS/2 Mouse

HI

I just got a new mouse.
Now... the old one was plugged into the PS/2 port.

The new one I got would not work on the PS/2 port
so i plugged it into the one of the USB ports and now it's
up and running.

I would like to know, will there be any performance differences.
Is it better to use PS/2?

Mice don't send or receive that much data. It won't make a diff.

yeah man a usb mouse is much faster...

you should get a firewire mouse...itll be BLAZIN!!!

I use a USB2 mouse and nobody can out mouse me:wip:

I have a mouse plugged into a Raid port, it's so 1337 !!! :D

I've found that usb ports are not as mechanically reliable as PS2 ones. I used to work at a lan center and a lot of the usb ports on the computers were messed up, one even shot sparks when you tried to connect mice to it. :eek:
