hello hello,

A new pic realised with 3dstudio max, the last before the holidays :) . I try to have a style more brushy to define the most quickly as possible an action.

Man, your work blows me away everytime i see them Xavier.

Awsome designs. Absolutely love the giant mecha and the bombers. It would be great to actually see some bombs being dropped though. They look more like fighter planes more than bombers. And maybe some explosions on the ground, or some fire and smoke from the destruction the giant mecha made.

Still its an awsome piece of artwork.

thx for ur comment

Myce : that's true the design is more influence by the fighter plane. This plane is in fact a cheap bomber like the stuka with a short range of action and a small charge of destruction.

The mecha is called Mecha 262 class "BERLIN"

Hi! So, that's another high quality work. I realy like this kind of environnement, wich make me think about warbird dedicated magazines, with flight engagement above city in flame. The composition is effective, and the research for the design of ur mechas has very high quality.

However, i think u can upgrade some parts of ur work: according to me, there is too many smoke wich parazitizes the background, and create a shift between 3d made part and composited ones.

Good work Xavier!

it's my job also now. more easy to found the time. For this pic it's made for free but all the modelisation is really brushy. not really precise, only the feeling is important.

Wow! This is a great image. I am no were close to be a critic so I will ask this from a curiosity standpoint. Is it from an artistic viewpoint, that is concerning the ships and missles, there is no black in the smoke trails?

Hi man!

Really great composition, and you know how much I like mechas! Definitively, Xav', you're really one of the best artist of the forum.
J'avais vu cette image en allant sur ton site, avant qu'elle ne soit sur CG talk.
Tu m'en bouches sacrément un coin tu sais!

And, for all admirative guyz in the audience, just have a look on Xavier Marquis's website (ask him for the link!). On the gallery, you'll see that this guy produces one "high-level" pict by month!

Who can do faster and stronger than this?!

More than "dual processor" artist!

Encore un grand bravo, Xav!

All I can say is that it is freaking awsome and why isn't this on the front page? I'd love to see an animated film of this. I think alot of people would love to see a movie like this. I love the animated films that are coming out, but they are all geared towards kids. Why can't they do a film like this? Anyway, keep it up! Looks Great!

The mech is real cool, i like the gamma range you choose for the final shot.
The design of the plane seems to be a little unbalance, but the idea is great!
I think the lighting system all over is real cool, attention is captured by the mech, but
i think the pilot need some more light to have the right weight on the final picture.
Great composition, i love your style!

I have the same feeling. It's my dream. For me the actual reference to dream is Cashern. I think this movie is a step in this direction
