I just started using Maya 6 on OS X (10.3.4) to be exact. I noticed that there is next to nothing, when it comes to scroll wheel support. If I open something like the Hokkeys editor I can not scroll through using the scroll wheel. What is the scroll wheel support like on the PC (Windows / Linux) ? And is there some sort of enviroment variable that I have to enable or someone knows how get it going that would be awesome.

Well believe it or not I just decided to read the manual. or the online help, and this is what I was presented to me.

"Wheelmouse use

Maya now supports the use of scrolling wheels on mouse input devices. This feature allows you to:

1)dolly in perspective or orthographic views

2)zoom in the Hypershade, Graph Editor, Dope Sheet, Render View, Paint Effects, and other windows and editors

3)scroll in the Script Editor and Console window"

Ohh well :0

Not to troll or anything, but I sure wish Maya added scroll-wheel support for basic widgets like List controls and Edit boxes. ^^;; Anyone know of a workaround for this?

The scroll wheel works only as a zoom in/out and pan/dolly on PCs too... if it doesn't do anything in the viewports on your mac, check maya.env file, you probably have 2 button mouse settings, if so, just erase the line or type 3 for button map
