Yeah I know... another boring car .

Still missing the interior but I will model It later when I get enough motivation.

But enough talking here it is.

Oh forget to say that modeled in Rhino 2.0 and rendered in 3dsmax5.

Okey then... This have to suck because nobody is commenting  .
Over 130 times viewed and not a single comment. Bad, awful, crap, poor, lousy or what?

looks good, i dunno whether this car ever made it to 'classic' status exactly, but it was pretty fast, tho thankfully the escort cosworth replaced it eventually.

can you post some bigger renders, its hard to make out any details.

The car looks good, nice modeling, but it looks like its chrome:shrug: .

And yeah bigger renders would help

Did you guys notice that you can click those small images to get bigger one (640x480)? Or do you want bigger than that? I modeled VERY lowdetail interior but cant render new images at the moment.

yes, we meant bigger than 640x480, preferably a lot bigger, its the only way to see how good the mesh actually is imo, you'll probably get a few more replies then.

Okey now there is bigger versions. Jus click those thumbnails and you should get 1600x1200 size image. Is that big enough or do I have to render bigger?

Also those thumbnails at first post should work.

Looks good. But you should try to inmprove the materials a bit. Like the car's is fairly good, but the one of the rims is lacking some reflectiveness. Try to use an HDRI to get some good reflections while you're at it.

Also if you have some time (and patience) you'd try to model the headlights, instead of a texture.

But overall it looks good, the mesh looks okay, no big problems at first sight(i think).
Keep up the good work :)

Is it possible use HDRI when I dont have brazil? And I think it's not realistic if enviroment is studio like but reflection is something else. I wanted to put that car on race track but dont know how to make the composition. And those headlights are modeled  .

I like the Sierra very much. Good work! :)
Do you have some ideas about your next project ?

Nice job on those! I think there are just too many pics around to comment on them all!

Yes, you can use HDRI without having to have a special renderer (like brazil), at least if you have 3ds max 6. I see you have 5, dunno about that, haven't tried it.

About the compositing: if you have a picture of a racetrack it's not so difficult; adjust you camera view to the angle of which the photo was taken. Then use a matt/shadow material on a plane for the undeground (to cast shadows).
Otherwise, if you don't have a picture, you could model a track, if you're not to much concerned about detail this shouldn't take much time and it stil could give some good reflections.

Sorry about the headlights, they look a little flat, but that's probably because of the viewing angle (front). :)

Thanks for comments :).

Bla999: Nothing in mind at the moment. Maybe some other rare Rs Ford... Rs1700T or Rs200 would be something different :).
athenaatje: I have couple track pictures and I have tried compositing and everything else went fine but I'm worried about reflections. How I can get those correct? Yeah, I know that those headlights looks flat for something reason but dont know why... maybe its the angle  .

I'm just ordinary stupid finnish people

Dunno, maybe you could post a composition. But if you're not satisfied with the results, maybe add another image similar to the first.
Otherwise if you would prefer nice reflections like the ractetrack itself on the car, try to find a good pic of a landscape (try to find a panoramic picture) or an image of the seats for the audience of the circuit. The put it as a background and model the racetrack yourself, then you should have the advantages of both :)

I like it !

Could you render some bigger res images ???

I use 3D Max 5.0 and 5.1 and you can use HDRI with a plug-in from Splutterfish.

But you don't NEED HDRI to do good reflections.

1600x1200 is not big enough?
Of course I could render bigger than that but I dont need bigger than those ;).

yeah, the big renders really show it off well, aside from some of the issues the others have mentioned, it looks great.
