Requirement -
We need a 3D animated music video for a children's dance song. The song is in the style of Aqua (Barbie Girl etc), and would be approx 3:30 minutes in length. If you already have something in your past non-commercial projects that has a similar look, you would be perfect for the job.
Employer -
The recording company (Magnasound) is located in Bombay, India, and the video will have guaranteed airtime on channels like MTV, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Pogo etc. You can google up 'Magnasound' to find out more about it. The recording of the whole album (8 songs) will be complete in around a month.
Payment -
The total payment for the video would be USD 2000-4000 (depending on the quality of your work). The payment cannot be very high because of the currency conversion rates. Read ahead for another reason for the lower payment.
Non-Exclusive License -
You can use anything to assemble the video - past commercialor non-commercial projects, premade models, textures etc. You will retain all rights to the video and models and anything else used for any future projects. All you give us is the non-exclusive right to use the final video for promotion of the song/album.
The Video -
The video needs to have a toyland kind of look, that can be seen in the 3D cartoon series 'Noddy' (or Johny Bravo, if you havent seen Noddy). We would be sending you simple videos of the singers that you have to include in the 3D scenes. The final work need not be very high quality, since the 3D animation scene here is not very advanced.
Concept Art -
If you need concept art/storyboards for the video those will be provided.
Timeframe -
The recording of the album is still in progress and will take a month to complete. The video will be needed by the end of August. We can provide you a rough version of the track till the final recording. Depending on the number of emails I get in response to this post, the selection of the person who will do the video will take 2-4 weeks.
Future Prospects -
This will probably be the first of 3 videos in the album. If you do a good job chances are you will get another 2 videos to make for this album. Plus the excellent exposure on the music and children channels will certainly invite more offers from other companies in India for higher budget videos.
