Hi,

I wanted to subscribe msyself at an University to be able to buy the XSI4 Ed version, but subscription has become quite expensive in Germany, soooo, as I wanted to learn XSI first and then if it fits me, buy the foundation ( the other versions are way to expensive for me) I was just wondering if Softimage plan to release a new XSI 4 EXP in the near future. I had a look into the Halflive version and it looked pretty nice, but since there seems to be so many changes in XSI 4 I wouldn't want to learn an 'old' version.

Any constructive opinions for me??

They usually release the EXP version a couple of months after the commercial version, so it should be out soon. Meanwhile the 3.5 EXP is good enough to start with. It's true there are many changes in version 4, but the workflow and core are still the same, so anything you learn in 3.5 won't go to waste with 4.0..

Thanks for the infos, then I'll just plunge into XSI and learn the basics until XSI 4 EXP.
