Wow, the render is absolutely stunning, very realistic but at the same time artistic! The textures are great, as is the level of detail.

Just a minor nitpick in case you're going for a realistic model: Are you sure the 737 has wingtips like those? I'm not an expert in civil aviation, but I don't recall it having wingtips at all... or maybe Boeing has made a revision, I wouldn't know either way

Yes ..they added in their last 737/400 models theese wintips in order to reduce turbulance at the wing edges. I can upload tonight some ref pics just to see it if u like. :bounce:

Great model, beautifully rendered you've got here Dimitri ! Have you reworked on the clouds using fluid effects ? cause they look abit different (and even more realistic) from the older ones of yours (done in LW I think). Anyway, I hope we'll be able to watch the spot in Greek tv soon :)

great!
maybe you should add some reflex/ highlight to the cockpit... compared to the other parts it looks so dead... i can't tell why...

greetings hainer

Firstly, it's a great model/render, well done

But if you need extreme realism for your spot, it seems to me that your nose is more rounder than the real plane, the engines appear a bit bigger and the first part of the tail, the one that raises from the main body appears to be a bit sharper on the real plane, yours rises more gently, at least that's what I can see from these pics:

Of course this is just nitpicking if you aim at an extreme realism, coz otherwise your pic is great as is

wow... very good render. What about the backround? is it a photo or painted?
Is it going to be a commercial for Olympic Airways? cause there isnt any logos on the plane.

nice work again, keep us updated!

Guys thank u for your kind words and observations ...but i must also add that i am not T.Rex who made another plane some time ago !!!
T.Rex had made a plane a little similar to this one for a film that was produced a year ago hear in Athens. He made it in Lightwave and u can find that plane for sure in Newtek gallery and in CGTalk gallery i think.

This plane is just a 737 / 400 with wingtips ( last model i think) that was made for a commercial that is on the way to be produced. I am deeply honoured but i am sorry i am a different guy who done this plane in Maya with Mental Ray for a tv spot not a film.
Some of u offered some good observations about thep lane nose and pilot windows...thanks guys.

In any case please feel free to comment more 'cuase to tell u the truth it's the second or the third time i am making a plane and surely the first time i am trying to make it look realistic as much is possible and in the request of the Director of the commercial.

Dimitris :bounce:

Holycow thanks for the explaining pic friend. ..yes this is the last 737..and that in pic i think is the 737/200 or 737/300 ....

uhm... I see, the engines then seem to be fine, but the nose of the real plane is still more pointy
