Here goes... My first post!
I've been snooping around this forum for a while now and, quite frankly, i'm impressed with the quality of the works AND critiques which are handed out. I figured it's my turn contribute to the community in my very humble way.

Aptly named "practice":

This is the latest version. (http://dmagexvii.50megs.com/cgi-bin/i/Images/Practice4.jpg)
A reference picture is included

The rest of the files are here (http://dmagexvii.50megs.com/Images/).

Thanks in advance,

DragonMage

Hi everyone.

I've had some time to work on my illustration, and i'd appreciate a crit!
i've worked on the face structure, the back and the texturing. I'm still working on the skin tones and the shadowing, and i'm not sure what else could be improved.

it seems blurred, you should try with taking a brush and give hard strokes on it, mark them and define the face in the space, and then, use soft brushes to define and blend colors together. then you should try painting on a dark coloured paper (brown, black) expecially when you have to deal with light colors like the pink of the skin. :bounce:

hope this helps.
