Hello!

How can I fully bake my c4d's 3D scene, including lights (+ radiosity), texture, etc? To transform it in an a fully OpenGL scene with objects that have the textures as JPG, BMP or whatever. I want to transform my 3D image in a fullu realtime image, so i can show it to other peeps, not only a render. I know that it can't be done at a very high quality - like the render it's self, but i think that lights, shadows, textures - like procedurals and stuff, could be backed. I'm not sure of reflections, bumps and transparencies.

Any reply is welcomed.

Cinema doesn't have scene-wide baking utility, nor is it possible to use the the object baking utility for GI, so be prepared for a lot of work. MV did a nice tutorial on this: http://www.mvpny.com/RadTutMV/RadiosityTut4MV.html

Hello, I have been playing with scenes like this for the past few months. The way to go is to have Bodypaint and Cinema and export out the models and scene as VRML. Then, use a VRML-type of app like AXELedge or Anark Studio. It is possible and it isn't that difficult to do a scene like you want. If your lights stay fixed in the scene then the shadows and most of the other attributes can be baked but reflections are another story.

I use AXELedge and Cinema together and you can export out by VRML and do interactive scenes quite nicely. This is one of the first scenes I did using the AXEL/Cinema combo,

It is very simple but shows the power of using the two. If I had tried to do this with Cinema/Swift 3D and Flash it would have taken probably 10 times longer and the file size would have been outrageous. The final interactive AXEL movie was only 44 KB and had two sounds included for the bike's horn. How much of a file would it have been with Swift/Flash??

I keep trying to find the time to do an indepth tutorial on Cinema and VRML and was going to maybe post it over on C4D Cafe. Maybe I could do a mini-tutorial in the next day or two.

Ha! I knew it! My dream is ruined :( :wavey:

I hope that Maxon will solve this issue in the near future :).
