CONCEPT: http://www.pencil-head.com/2d/Brain.jpg
I'm starting to get confortable in zbrush now, so hopefully i'll finish this guy. I modeled the base mesh in maya. The plan is to bring it back into maya to animate, which i havn't figured out how to do yet.

looks good so far... the only thing I noticed is that the feet are pretty big in the concept, I think you should size those down a bit. make sure to post your progress, I'd like to see the outcome.

Really cool. How about showing what the base Maya mesh looked like before you started working on it in Z Brush.

Wow so cool! The textures are super rad! I can't wait to see the final. I agree with weasel.acuh5o about the feet, I know it's a made up alien so anything can be like anything but the feet just seem way too big in comparison with the rest of him.
He resembles the reported Grey a hell of a lot. (Which I like 'cus I'm a believer ;) )
I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle the eyes. If you've seen a show called TAKEN by Spielberg, the eyes on that are black but when you ge close they have really big, dark iris'. So I really wanna see how you do them, either way I think they must be what stands out most. I'd have them looking very shiny, smooth and somehow get a depth to them that looks penetrating.
The model if fantabuloso :) and scary as hell. Good Luck.

Small Update. I havn't had much time to work on him lately. Iv'e started roughing out the texture. Thats the good thing about zbrush. You can model and texture at the same time. And I'm aware of the massive stretching in some places. I just got to paint over them.
Fetus23: Thanks mate. Thats exactly what I wanted to hear.
ChrisWalker: Thanks for the crits. I havn't fixed the feet yet, but i will fix them. The eyes will be the last thing i fix. They're just place holders at the moment. When I take it back into maya i'll model proper ones.

Stretched out the legs so its more nutral. Also scaled the length of the feet (can't really tell in this pic).
