I need so serious help here...
I'm not using character studio and I need to make a few models out. Can i do the hand, head, legs, arms all separately and then merge them together? Or should I use the extrude and bevel method to make the body parts?
:annoyed:

It's personal preference really.

If you model the body parts separately it's sometimes awkward to weld them all together, especialy if there are wildly different levels of detail on two adjoining parts. You can plan for this to some extent, but it's a problem which doesn't realy arise if you model the whole object in one go.

On the other hand, it's sometimes difficult (or just awkward) to model complex bits like hands when there is a whole character in the scene.

For what it's worth I usually model everything in one go, bar the hands and ears (and feet if the character isn't wearing shoes) which I usually do in a separate file then attach later.
