Mesh Surgery is locked to your serial of Cinema 4D and is non transferable.
This is stated on the website. However, if you'e selling your C4D provided you give MS with the C4D rather than trying to sell it seperately, then the new user should be able to use it unless they change serial number. In which case it will no longer work.

Thx for your answer, but when i sell Cinema of course it must register for the new user, why cant you generate a new number, sorry but that sucks really :hmm:

It's standard business practice, and was explained when you purchased Mesh Surgery from our websites, there is no reason to complain at this stage.
You purchase a serial/license of Mesh Surgery that is with good reason locked to your Cinema 4D License. Is there a good explanation for why we should give out more for free when we're trying to make a living making and selling these?

He already said you can include it with your c4d sale, but the MS serial must stay with that c4d licence, you cannot sell MS seperately to anyone else.

Yes i know, have used the wrong words cause my english sucks :p
But when i sell cinema and register it new the serial number change and in this case ist Mesh Surgery valueless.

As far as I know whoever purchases your copy of C4D (with Mesh Surgery) does not have to get a new SE# does he?

what really sucks is when i moved from mac to pc, now modelling is a bit more tricky without good old MS.

Good question randyrives, i thought so but i am not sure, in many cases it is so. I don't have so much experience with such things but we will see :)

Another question: Does this mean i have to buy all plugins again when upgrading to a c4d full license from students version? I don't believe that the c4d serial doesn't change in that case :hmm:

Best is to ask Maxon, no?
I guess that for them there is no problem to change the name adhered to a license.
For Morph 21 this would mean Maxon Germany.
Explain that you want to change and why the serial must remain with the app.
Yet I just don't understand why you want to sell Cinema!
You'll be VERY sorry one day, believe me!

No. I cannot speak for any of the other developers but itīs no problem for my plugins to move the license or reregister it.

Most likely not. Selling your plugin and upgrading your CINEMA version are two different animals. In the later case the plugin can not be used by someone who hasn't payed for it, since you can't sell a CINEMA version that has been used for an upgrade.
